"EVERY STORY HAS A BEGINNING & EVERY PSYCHO HAS A PAST"

Murder, cover ups and a very familiar looking hotel. I won't lie at first I thought it was the house from the "Adams Family" but the stairs leading up to the house brought it all back to me. So I thought..."Why not?" I'm not familiar with the original Hitchcock "Psycho" but I do remember glancing at the 1998 remake starring Vince Vaughn. It seems like origin storylines are the new trend, with games such as Tomb Raider and God of War following suit. (Who doesn't like a good origin story) Bates Motel tells the story of Norman Bates before he became the famous "PSYCHO" killer and how they moved into the house and take over the Seafairer Motel and renamed it the Bates Motel.
We begin to realise quite quickly that Norman's mother seems to be quite the pro when it comes to killing and has a somewhat natural flair about it. I'm quite excited to see the character progression of Norman Bates and how he transforms. As the first episode already shows traits of this as Norman looks through an illustrated book of a girl being held captive and chained to a bathroom sink.
Now I love shows that can leave me with suspense and with this being an ode to the Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock I am hoping to get the most shocks and surprises. However combined with the makers of Lost. I'm hoping it won't be too suspenseful that I'm having to wait for 4 seasons before I get to know why something happened in episode 2 of season 1. I'm getting a "Dexter Morgan" vibe from this show and I hope it provides me with all the greatness that show brought.
