EPISODE 3: FAMILY MATTERS
Now this is Ratchetness at its finest. However I applaud Love & Hip Hop for exploring these underlining themes which effect everyday life. Consequence and Jen's story of raising a family in an interracial and inter-faith relationship illustrate the strains this can have in a household and how they struggle to find the balance of how to raise their child. Yandy and Mendeecee's story of having a newborn who is unwell also pulls on the heart strings but I feel with all the foolishness going on with Erica in a shouting match overshadows these key stories. But I guess people like the arguments and cat fights.

So this weeks episode focused mainly on Yandy and Mendeecees story of them finding out that their baby boy has a Kidney problem and surgery would be the only way to make sure he is alright. It was pretty sad to see this as anyone could empathise with them in this situation not knowing what could happen, and being that the child is only a few months old. I really like Yandy and I'm glad she's not all about that drama.
"...AAAANND SCENE!"
Then it's back to the arguing. So Jen the Pen and Raqi have all of sudden become best friends and decide to go out to a club. Low and behold Tahiry and Rashida aka Wendy are also at the club. Coincidence??? HELL NO. This is Love & Hip Hop there are no coincidences because the majority of this "reality" TV show is all scripted. So it's back and forth between the enemies Tahiry and Raqi calling out each about how many men each person has slept with (so lady like) while Jen the Pen sits so awkwardly between them.
Joe Budden continues to battle his substance abuse and needs Tahiry to help him with that by taking an at home drug test. But what I don't understand and really can't seem to get my head around is that Mr. Budden has a girlfriend and how is she OK with Joe being around his ex Tahiry knowing they have so much history and might I add chemistry. I don't know how he does it but I'm hoping he will teach me. (I kid I kid).
I refuse to give Erica any light but from next weeks preview it looks like we are going to finally hear what she sounds like as she tries to break into a singing career. I'm expecting it be to terrible but with the power of autotune and studio magic they will probably be able to turn water into wine.
